Choosing an instrument
You are considering membership in the New Horizons Orchestra - Perhaps you played an instrument as a child; or maybe you've just always wanted to learn to play and instrument. Here's a guide to finding what's right for you: - Re-learn to play the instrument that you played earlier in life.
- Choose an instrument that has a sound or look that you like.
- Check with HNMC to see which instruments are needed in the orchestra.
- If you already own an instrument, be sure that it is in good playing condition.
- Music dealers and HNMC have an assortment of rental instruments for students to try, and choose from, at our Play Day.
- Once you're certain of the instrument you like playing, purchase or rent one.
