Carol Kowzan is a long time Spokane music teacher and is teaching clarinet at the Center. She comes to us with proven teaching success. Her students have garnered recent attention by winning regional festival honors and state competitions and recoginition for the past several years. Carol performs regularly in the area as a clarinet soloist and saxophonist and is ready to build her private studio at the Music Center. This is a great opportunity for all of our area students. 
Ed Gavras - Clarinet, Flute, Jazz Saxophone
Studies at Spokane Falls Community College, Prairie Bible College, and Centrum's Bud Shank Jazz Workshop; studied in composition and arranging with Bob Curnow. Winner of Outstanding Musicianship Award from International Association of Jazz Educators at Pacific Coast Collegiate Jazz Festival in 1992. Teaching experience: Prairie Bible College, Northwest Christian Middle School, and privately for 10 years. Performances on Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, as well as in jazz and church related groups. Part time music director at Life Center North Church.
