Course: Composition 1
This course is designed for people who want a more in depth experience composing music. In addition to the subjects covered in the songwriting class, the following units will be presented: Intervals and chord construction, major and minor scales and key signatures, pentatonic and modal scales, chord progressions, song construction and form, stylistic characteristics of specific song genres (blues, jazz, folk, country, pop, religious and classical) and improvisation as a compositional tool. Students enrolling in the Digital Recording class will be able to practice their skills in the professional recording studio. Tuition: $125.00
