Course: Songwriting 1
This course is designed for people interested in creating music and song, who do not play an instrument or read music, or do so on a limited basis. Emphasis is on training the ear and voice to recognize and sing major and minor scales and basic chord progressions. Basic time signatures and rhythms will be taught. Upon completion of the course the student will be able to create melodies, set lyrics to music and meter, recognize basic song form by ear and be able to grasp basic arrangements of most common musical genres. Further creation of each student's songs and melodies will be accomplished in the Digital Recording class. Tuition: $125.00
Length: 8 weeks, 1 hour per class per week
Minimum Enrollment: 5 students
