We can offer you:

  • Highly skilled and educated faculty
  • A wide variety of programs for all
  • Performance opportunities
  • Nationally competitive training
  • Career and skill building

Faculty
Our superb and diverse faculty---a number of whom play with the Spokane Symphony---allows you to select from different musical styles and techniques. We have faculty to teach any and all instruments and voice.

Programs for All Ages
We offer programs for toddlers, programs for young children, programs for youth, and programs for adults. We have programs during the school year and camps during the summer. And, of course, we offer private instruction to anyone of any age at any time. So, no matter who you are, we have a program for you, and you can grow up with us.

Conservatory
First- and second-year Music Theory classes are offered free of charge to all students taking private lessons, with the exception of those on the variable rate payment plan.

Scholarships
HNMC offers partial Scholarships to approximately 50 students each year. We also have a new, special scholarship program for students in the West Spokane area called the TEAM project, so if you live in west or northwest Spokane, ask us about it.

Talent Grants
Four Talent Grants are awarded annually based on achievement, talent and promise. These awards are given in the spring for use during the following school year.

Ensemble Work
We have a Junior Chamber Music group, an Honors Chamber Music group, and an Adult Chamber Music group which provide advanced students the opportunity to explore chamber ensemble performance. We also have the Holy Moley Jazz Band for junior and high-school students. Beyond that, the adult New Horizons program includes choir, orchestra, and bluegrass band.

Performance and Recital Hall
The Music Center has an excellent, acoustically sound performance venue in McNally Recital Hall. This facility is used by both faculty and students, as well as outside parties. Student recitals are held on the third Sunday of every month, September through June, and we have occassional faculty recitals.

Library
HNMC's Music Library is a tremendous asset and is one of the most complete non-collegiate libraries of recordings and performance materials in Spokane.

Setting
Holy Names Music Center on the beautiful and serene Mukogawa campus is an ideal place for study, performance and reflection. We are near Spokane Falls Community College and just ten minutes from downtown Spokane.
